Anyone with the ability to read and do simple math can accomplish great wealth. This process does take a sincere effort and a good amount of balancing to keep on the road to attaining your goals. You are the one that has to be the final judge as to how much you want to accomplish in any given time frame. The harder you work and can sacrifice in the short term the more you can attain in the long run. None of the things we discuss is rocket science.
To reach our goal of being financially sound and to early retire from corporate America took about 20 years. Had we been willing to sacrifice a lot more, we could have achieved the goal much sooner. But, we knew we wanted to work until we were 50 to 55 years old. So we chose a steady pace that would allow us to have a nice home, cars, boat and travel each year.
What now? Start by saying "I Can Be a Millionaire!"
To attain wealth is not just about making or saving money, stock, gold and other investments. The bottom line is in knowing where you stand by determining your net worth. Before you start down any road you first have to know where the road is, and how long it is. Your net worth is the dollar figure you get by adding up all of your (what you own that has value) and subtracting your liabilities (what you owe, your debts). If this figure is negative, that says you owe more than you own.
Many people who think they are rich actually are not, because they owe more than they own. In reality your true wealth can only be measured by your net worth. This is why we concentrate on reducing or keeping debt to a minimum, budget our spending, and keep an aggressive savings plan going. With this method we maximize the ability to gain true wealth.
Please help support this site by clicking on and visiting our sponsors sites. Every click helps. Also visit our amazon affiliate site to purchase referenced materials. Every method I have read about to attain wealth concentrate on only one of these areas. It does no good if you are saving in one hand and getting further in debt with the other. That is why we show in this site the fuller picture of what it takes.
We hope what we cover on this site provides you with the information and some tools so you to can achieve the financial goals you want to attain. Please remember that everyone is ultimately responsible for themselves. No one should use just one source and this site is no different. You should educate yourself to ensure that you feel secure in the decisions you make about your financial future. To assist you in this we have references to books, financial sites and other references throughout this site. Please use them as they were and still are a tremendous help to us.
We have arranged the major sections in the menu bar on the left. If you did not read our story we have placed a copy in "About Site". We suggest you work you way down the menu bar as it covers the most important subject first. But, remember all of these are part of the picture and should have some place in your plan. So to get started by learning your current net worth with our net work worksheet. So please proceed to "Getting Started"
We wish you the best, and please feel free to send us questions, suggestions or tell us what has worked for you. We attempt you answer most questions within a few days.
